I would agree that it was a a hybrid of Twilight and Harry Potter - My kids will really enjoy this movie... We look forward to the sequels...

BTW: Dad may be interested to know that they are coming out with another X-men movie.Rebecca's Oasishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13352076151500202420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4603710743994695525.post-55403268091726477152011-02-19T18:59:36.437-07:002011-02-19T18:59:36.437-07:00Awesome! Your brains are pretty similar, they just weave in different directions sometimes. :)

I am glad that VDT turned out to be a good movie. I liked the first two (though I am a die-hard fan of the low budget BBC versions...sentimental value I suppose), and I had heard this one was much better than the first two. Let's just hope that they keep getting better, especially with "The Last Battle" looming. I have to agree with Dad, it is the best of the seven. And I get misty-eyed...but, then again, almost everything gets me misty-eyed these days. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4603710743994695525.post-57309380204931589062011-02-19T16:38:58.361-07:002011-02-19T16:38:58.361-07:00Actually, there was considerable action in the VDT...Actually, there was considerable action in the VDT, especially when one of the characters was turned into a dragon and began breathing on things. C.S. Lewis' books do appeal to me because of what I know about the event that sparked his writing of them. I am afraid that I got a little misty-eyes myself at some of the oblique references which I suppose that many people would not catch. I have found it true in the other two movies as well. That, perhaps is one of the reasons that I have enjoyed all three. The Silver Chair is supposed to be released next year, and the other three by 2014. No one has ever attempted to do The Last Battle, which is for me the best book of the seven, theologically. "Higher Up! And Further In!" I get a little misty-eyed when I think about those last scenes.Zaphodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14973346188124969552noreply@blogger.com
